Job Overview

The Purchasing & Receiving Clerk is crucial in acquiring and managing the resort’s inventory, including food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and operational supplies. This role ensures the timely delivery, quality, and compliance of all goods, including managing relationships with suppliers and overseeing inventory levels.

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time
  • Pay Range: $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Job Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Source and procure a wide range of beverages, including alcoholic products, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards.
  • Ensure all purchased items meet quality, cost specifications, and compliance standards, particularly for alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintain accurate records of beverage inventory, manage reorder processes, and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and storage of all alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of beverage deliveries. Drive a box truck and operate a forklift to transport and stock beverages as needed.
  • Safely lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds and distribute them throughout the resort.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring timely availability of beverages.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels using purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Monitor the quality of received products and address any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Utah’s alcohol laws and resort policies, including checking the age and certification requirements for handling alcohol.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Proven experience in purchasing and receiving, preferably in the hospitality industry with a focus on beverages.
  • Valid Utah driver’s license and certification or experience in operating a forklift.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills; familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $23.00/Hr. – $23.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
