An Accounting Payroll Specialist at Black Desert Resort is responsible for managing the payroll process and ensuring accurate and timely payroll transactions. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and plays a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Specification:
Location: Onsite at Black Desert Resort
Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full Time
Pay Range: $22/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Job Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Process payroll for all resort employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee data, timekeeping, deductions, and benefits.
- Calculate and process special payroll transactions, such as bonuses, overtime, and terminations.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management, providing information and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, staying updated on changes in legislation.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, highlighting key metrics and any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee information and seamless payroll processes.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for the accounting system
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software and accounting systems (e.g., ADP, WorkDay).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC) is a plus.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $22.00/Hr. – $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
