Job Overview

An IT Technician at Black Desert Resort is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the resort’s computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure. This position reports to the IT Manager or Director of Information Technology and plays a crucial role in ensuring that all IT systems function efficiently and effectively to support the resort’s operations.

 

Job Specification:

 

Location: Onsite at Black Desert Resort

Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full Time

Pay Range: $20 – $23 / hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Job Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues for all resort staff.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure the security and optimal performance of IT systems.
  • Assist with the setup and support of audiovisual equipment for meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure the reliability and security of all IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, incidents, and support requests.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of IT systems and software applications.
  • Assist with the implementation of new technologies and IT projects as directed by the IT Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices for IT security and data protection.
  • Participate in IT meetings and training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and practices.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Certification in IT (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving IT equipment.
  • Proficiency with Windows, as well as common business software applications.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $20.00/Hr. – $23.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
