PURPOSE OF POSITION:  The Baker is responsible for assisting in the presentation, display and production of baked goods and pastries.  The emphasis is on quality, appearance and service.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must have minimum of 3 month’s baking experience or culinary schooling
• Must be able to present a courteous attitude to guests and work well with other employees
• Must be able to follow directions and established recipes
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early morning and evening shifts, at all four lodges
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must provide work shoes, French knife and other knives, spatulas and pastry tools as needed
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting and carrying full sheet pans

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Punch in for assigned shift on time with a clean, well groomed appearance and in full uniform
• Assist in preparing baked goods and other items as needed, following the prep list and designated recipes and procedures
• Display baked goods creatively
• Keep displays well stocked, clean and organized
• Follow designated recipes and procedures
• Present a courteous attitude to guests, going out of the way to offer assistance, on the phone or in person
• Work in cooperation with all employees including Stewards and Storeroom
• Take the initiative in maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary work environment
• Use and care for Deer Valley equipment appropriately
• Follow Deer Valley policies and procedures
• Strive for a high “Deer Valley” quality with consistent attention to detail and accuracy
• Approach job in an organized, professional manner
• Offer unyielding assistance to our guests.  Present a courteous attitude to guests, smile and be helpful.  Should you not have an answer or be unsure of a situation, refer guest immediately to a floor supervisor
• Work in cooperation with all employees
