Job Overview

Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa is hiring a full-time Front Desk Supervisor. The Front Desk Supervisor’s main role is to ensure a positive, efficient and professional check in and check out for Hotel guests.  This position is instrumental in creating an inspiring hospitality experience for the guest from the time of arrival to their departure through billing.

Responsibilities

  • Able to welcome guests in a friendly and welcoming way.
  • Knowledgeable with all check-in/out policies and procedures.
  • Familiar and able to address guest scenarios.
  • Able to make and adjust reservations.
  • Understand and able to control guest room inventory.
  • Understand and able to work with all systems associated with the front desk.
  • Familiar with the Hotel and able to describe to guests.
  • Train new front desk associates.
  • Distribute appropriate information to staff.
  • Familiar with the area and services offered by the Hotel.
  • Familiar with Wyndham Rewards.
  • Able to fun the front desk in the absence of the Assistant Front Office/Front Office Manager.
  • Able to follow the front office checklist and confirm the process is being followed timely and efficiently.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Front Desk Manager/ Front Desk Manager.

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Previous front desk experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • General understanding of the Hotel industry
  • Positive, empathetic demeanor
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and property management systems
  • Ability to work various shifts (nights, weekends and holidays)

This position is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus, after 90/180 days of continuous employment, paid in two installments.

The Hotel functions seven days a week and 24-hours a day.  All employees, both management and hourly, must realize, at times, it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift so support business demands.
