Job Overview

The Cook II is responsible for assisting the sous chef and the cook III with the supervision of cooks in the level I position, preparation and presentation of the daily menus (especially high-quality specials, soups, stew, and chilies), and assisting servers with restocking and serving at stations where lines develop during peak business hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create lively and flavorful dishes, adhering to production standards and time constraints
  • Change pans regularly, maintain a clean workspace, restock food supplies, and make sure all mise-en-place is in sufficient quantities for the day’s counts
  • Assist servers during busy times to speed guests through lines
  • Clean lines at the end of the day
  • Store and rotate food to ensure freshness and avoid waste
  • Label leftover products and store them in appropriate areas of cooler or kitchen
  • Take daily inventories
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous cook experience required
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift and carry 25 – 50 lbs.

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: 

  • Year Round

 

PAY RATE:

  • Pay: $22.50 per hour
