Job Overview
- Leads the day to day kitchen operation
- Able to perform any task in the kitchen if needed
- Assist the Chef in training all staff
- Able to assume the Chef’s duties when not present
Responsibilities:
- Asst. Sous chef must be able to lead the culinary team, remain organized, professional and report vital information to the Chef De Cuisine.
- Asst. Sous chef must be familiar with all the daily operations of the kitchen and must be able to perform any task in the kitchen if needed.
- Asst. Sous chef acts the intermediary between the kitchens and wait staff. Strong leadership and communications abilities are a must.
- Asst. Sous chef will assist Executive pastry chef in interviewing, hiring and training employees.
- Asst. Sous chef will assist in the lowering of food cost and waste.
