Job Overview
This Assistant Finance Director is crucial for ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization through effective management and oversight of financial activities. The Assistant Finance Director will oversee an accounting team performing daily revenue accounting, condo owner revenue share, month end close, including coordination with Centralized Accounting partners, vendor fulfillment and payment remittance. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting, who is analytical, detail-oriented, and a skilled communicator.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time
The budgeted range starts at $95,000 – $125,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Job Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Assist the Finance Director in managing the organization’s financial operations, including operational accounting, labor management, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and analysis.
- Implement and monitor effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency. Ensure adequate controls within PMS and POS softwares including setup of financial related processes. (Opera, Springer Miller, Profitsage, Micros.)
- Coordinate with various departments to prepare and review budget proposals and funding requests. Monitor performance of results and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and asset management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to finance department staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Stay abreast of developments in financial management best practices and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive financial management experience in Hospitality, with a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles including USALI.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $95,000.00/Yr. – $125,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
