Job Overview

Our managed hotels portfolio includes Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson Red, Park Plaza, and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.

To manage the accounting operations of the hotel in a manner to maximize efficiency while supporting department accounting needs and maintaining accounting standards to keep the department accountable.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advises Hotel leadership on budget and accounting questions based on financial analysis.

  • Approves purchases in compliance with hotel policy and budgetary guidelines.
  • Provides periodic reports to management of income, collection activity, invoices, room rates, etc.
  • Ensures hotel is in compliance with tax regulations, reports to management tax changes.

Oversees hotel cash flow.

  • Processes invoice payment, reporting, coding
  • Schedules, supervises, and participates in audits of hotel accounting, including employee bank amounts and end-of-shift reports.
  • Oversees and develops practices for cash handling.
  • Works with all areas of accounting including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Cashiers

Maintains records of tax reports, insurance policies, expenses, payroll, and hotel contracts Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement.

  • Recruits and selects qualified candidates.
  • Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities.
  • Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback.
  • Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential.
  • Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans.

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.  Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes, I Can! service and teamwork.

  • Provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Five years accounting experience, including two to three years in hospitality setting
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting for extended period of time
  • No heavy lifting expected, exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally may be required
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment
