DESCRIPTION

Assistant Banquet Manager

Wage:  $18.00 – $20.00/ hour DOE

Shift: Full time, flexible hours.  Closed Sundays.

Benefits: Eligible for $200 signing and referral bonus! Medical, Dental, Life, LTD, PTO, 9 company Holiday’s, 401K after 1 year of work. Closed Sundays

 

Summary:

The Assistant Banquet Manager is responsible for training and directing the banquet staff in servicing all banquet activities to ensure a successful event and repeat business. Keeping a clean and positive atmosphere. Directing Supervisors / Captains / Staff to ensure the quality and standard of Thanksgiving Point is met.

Responsibilities:

Visually inspect event spaces and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up.

Verbally communicate, in a calm, positive demeanor, during the event with the kitchen staff, banquet captains, and servers as well as the client to ensure timely execution of events, quality service, and adherence to all applicable health regulations and company standards.

Provide leadership, motivation, and direction in the development, productivity and satisfaction of team members.

Supervise clean-up of event spaces and proper breakdown and storage of equipment.

Assist the Banquet Manager with scheduling, administrative tasks, and any other tasks that are assigned.

Check staff attendance according to schedules, adjust and reassign servers, as necessary, in order to provide quality service during events.

Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

Promote respect and positivity in the workplace with all team members and departments.

Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
