Position Requirements

Desired Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of sales experience required

    • Previous experience in the hospitality industry 

    • Previous supervisory experience 

    • Ability to communicate with team members and the public effectively 

    • Ability to read and decipher financial reports and records.

    • High school diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

    • Hilton Experience a plus.

 

Position Description

  • Participates in preparation of annual budget and creates annual marketing plans to implement for the following year. Create and inspire special promotions or packages, and ideas to build occupancy.
  • Tracks activities in the market in relation to the hotel's position and common trends for forecasting. Communicate significant changes to General Manager and management company.
  • Seeks out business opportunities to attend or promote to help grow business relationships 
  • Leads sales department meetings and heads outings for the week 
  • Makes solicitation and service calls in person, through mail/email, and by telephone on assigned accounts to promote and sell hotel, banquet and restaurant facility space and services.
  • Follows up with solicitation calls to potential new accounts and older accounts with slower activity. Responds to  customers, clients and the corporate office.
  • Prepares group proposals and send the information to the sales coordinator for help in preparation. Confirmations for group bookings, and assists in tours of the property when needed.
  • Presents groups resumes to other departments for their knowledge and working with accommodations 
  • Follows company credit and deposit policies when booking business.
  • Prepares sales reports and attends sales calls and activities as required.
  • Monitors guest satisfaction through follow-up surveys, thank you cards and calls for each group and special guests.
  • Attends all daily, weekly and/or monthly department/hotel meetings to ensure proper communication/planning occurs
  • Meets and/or exceeds budgeted revenue and production goals
  • Compliance with Human Resource policies and procedures as outlined by management company.
  • Timely processing of invoices and follows all purchasing policies.
  • Leads team consisting of Sales manager, Catering manager, and Sales Coordinator.
  • Assists with anything that the General Manager sees fit and other responsibilities that arise
