PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the management and
day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*Previous management experience required
*Prior luxury housekeeping experience required
*Be self-motivated, customer service oriented and have a positive
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be physically fit
*Must have a Utah driverís license
*Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office software
*Bi-lingual Spanish/English helpful, but not required
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Responsible for the long term vision and direction of the
housekeeping department, including improvements and projects.
*Recruit, manage, train, develop and evaluate performance of a
highly effective team of housekeeping personnel, to ensure guest,
owner and employee satisfaction. Training to include Customer
Service, Safety, Departmental Policies and Procedures, job
functionality and grooming
*Ensure all equipment is well maintained and properly cared for by
*Responsible for overall financial performance including
budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the department.
*Bear ultimate responsibility for monitoring consumption and
ordering replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.
*Maintain effective cost control through systems and processes.
*Provide seamless employee relations with contract employees,
ensuring proper training and culture integration.
*Establish safe working conditions through appropriate training.
*Create appropriate relationships with all levels of hotel
*Ensure weekly schedules provide quality coverage and effective
workflow in Housekeeping and adherence to budgetary guidelines and

*Coach staff in updated knowledge of housekeeping practices,
products, techniques and standards
*Attend and contribute to weekly department manager staff meetings
*Ensure high level of service, safety and profitability by working
with other departments to foster a spirit of teamwork and
*Responsible for timely submission of all paperwork, timesheets,
gratuity allocation and piece rate totals to Human Resource
Department, when/if applicable
