Position Description

The Park City Sheraton Hotel is seeking an experienced hotel individual to join our amazing team as our Assistant General Manager. Sheraton/Marriott experience preferred, but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight of the F&B, Rooms, and Engineering departments in the hotel.
  • Maintain /increase standards of quality guest service and satisfaction.
  • Prepares all departments for the Sheraton QA audit by following brand standards and ensuring that the team follows the standards as well.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the hotel.
  • Assist in the development of short and long-term financial & operational plans for the hotel that relate to the overall objectives.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Ensures that all associates follow established safety standards.
  • Manages the reservation function to maintain the highest possible room occupancy and average daily rate through suggestive selling by the associates.
  • Ensure that all associates adhere to dress code standards, including name tag & Sheraton service card.
  • Maintain and correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, security of financial assets and guest security.
  • Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner, demonstrating professionalism and good judgement.
  • Assists in hiring for all F&B, Rooms, and Engineering departments.
  • Understands and communicates the Driftwood mission and values (and Sheraton's).
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures, and hold associates accountable.
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts himself/herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times; set standards for all associates and ensure their compliance.
  • Assist GM with any assignments as needed or required.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • CPR training required. Must have TIPS and Food Handler's cards.
