Requirements:

  • Extremely detail oriented.

  • Be able to clearly communicate through speech and writing.

  • Excellent MS Office skills.

  • Be a quick learner of the PMS and Group Housing system.

  • Previous sales experience, preferably with hotels and Hilton brand.

  • Adaptable personality and willingness to work in different departs (cross train).

  • Clean driving record preferable (to drive hotel shuttle)

Position Description

Looking for energetic, detail oriented, team players ready to join our Sales team. Candidate is expected to provide general support to the sales by acting as the primary contact for all meeting banquets and other functions of the hotel for Business, Sports & Social Group Business and manage group reservations, book individual reservations and other duties as assigned by management. Candidate would also help the Corporate Revenue Manager about 10% of the time.

 

Job Duties:

  • Train and learn OnQ Property Management System and ONQR&I

  • Assist RDOS when requested with groups, events, contracts, and any special projects as needed

  • Work closely with front desk and other departments in relation to sales groups and events

  • Assist the DRM on a daily basis with rate shops, master event calendar updates and other duties as assigned

  • Make individual reservations needed by Sales staff

  • Set up Group Blocks and enter Rooming Lists

  • Compile billing and payment information needed by accounting for each group

  • Correspond with Clients about Group details (url and group codes and pick- up)

  • Answer phone calls for other sales staff when they are away from their desk (calls will be forwarded and or roll to your extension)

  • Qualify incoming calls for Sales and Catering staff use lead sheet/take good notes

  • Take detailed messages for all Sales and Catering staff

  • Show meeting space and guest rooms when needed

  • Check space and rooms availability in OnQ PMS and get approval from RDOS before quoting or sending out rates when needed to assist clients

  • Edit Banquet Event Orders and other sales documents as needed

  • Hours are typically 8-5 M-F, but some evenings and weekends could be required

  • Any other duties assigned
