The Sales and Catering Coordinator the primary role of the Sales and Catering coordinator is to meet with client or lead planner to discuss food and beverage and meeting room setup details/needs for their event. This position is responsible for booking events, creating banquet event orders, contracts and finalizing function details. In addition, the individual will work closely with the Food and Beverage Team ensuring all details of the event are executed seamlessly providing our guests with a memorable experience.  Assist with the servicing with all aspects of a function as needed.   

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum of 2 years prior hotel/restaurant/sales/administrative operations management/supervisory experience.
  • Proven Supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Exceptional follow-through consisting of strong organizational skills and time management.
  • Consistently follow through with guest requests and feedback.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while prioritizing projects.
  • The ability to maintain files and sales databases as per company standards.
  • Current Food Handlers and Approved State of Utah Alcohol Training.
  • Valid Driverís License
  • Basic understanding of Food and Beverage costing, menu creation, ordering, and the cross utilization of product.
  • Previous experience in a banquet setting a plus
  • Knowledge of Delphi and OnQ a plus
  • The ability to lift to 50lbs
  • The ability to create personal connections with peers, supervisors and guests.
