Position Description

Versante Hearth + Bar, located inside the newly renovated Park City Peaks Hotel is seeking applications for a year-round, full-time, salaried Assistant Manager.

As Second in Command for the Front of House, the Assistant manager is responsible for service expectations, liquor law and health code standards, staff management, guest experience and daily sales operations.

The Assistant Manager may be expected to take on additional roles in the absence of, or in support of, the General Manager.

Ideal applicants will have: 3+ years in fine dining as a Server or Lead Server 1+ year as a Floor/Service Manager Banquet, Catering, and/or Events experience Sommelier certification Position

Expectations: Work with Bar Manager and General Manger to stay up to date on food and beverage knowledge and industry trends
Conduct daily menu item training and service meetings and assist the management team to train and develop team members to maximize sales performance and growth
Demonstrate competency in leadership and shift management Ensure staff levels meet the needs of the business while effectively managing staff overtime
Maintain an active awareness of safety risks and hazards to our guests and employees
Adhere to all Board of Health guidelines and assist staff to do so as well
Adhere to all Utah Liquor law guidelines and assist staff to do so as well
View the business through the lens of the customer to set, achieve and exceed service standards
Show your availability to customers and employees by maintaining an enthusiastic and supportive floor presence
Handle and follow through on all employee and customer interactions in a solution-focused and timely way
Ability to understand and manage Aloha
Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal/state/local laws and ordinances
Clearly set and communicate employee performance expectations to meet job description and sales goals
Create a fun, positive, open-door environment that encourages two-way communication, and builds trust and respect
Listen actively to employees and acknowledge their concerns and needs, working with the General Manager to take appropriate action as needed

Education/ Experience/ Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and time management. Ability to interface with various levels of management Strong familiarity with OSHA and all local Department of Health Regulations.

PC literate with a working knowledge of Outlook and MS Excel preferred.
Preference given to Candidates with: Experience with banquets, events, or caterings Sommelier or other beverage certifications/experience Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Salary: $40,000-$46,000/year DOE
