The Executive Housekeeper position is critical to the
satisfaction of our guests.|
You provide so much to the overall experience to each and every guest. As the
saying goes, You never get a second chance to make a first impression the overall
appearance and cleanliness of our property is the first impression that the guest
has and we always want to make the best impression possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
Ensure highest quality service and standards to each guest and Team Member.
Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
Provide clear direction in assigning and instructions to housekeeping and laundry staff.
Review monthly budget for allotted cleaning supplies and linen expense items, and order new supplies as necessary within the outlined budget.
Monitor appearance of Housekeeping Staff to ensure staff is following the uniform policy and maintain a professional demeanor.
Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with hotel hazard communication program.
Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects.
Work closely with the Maintenance Department to ensure that outlined preventative maintenance needs in the guestrooms and common areas are being followed and report any feedback from guests and team members to the Maintenance Department and/or General Manager for any immediate repairs to property or equipment.
Perform a monthly inventory on supplies to control costs and ensure property amounts of supplies are on hand.
Ensure that the laundry room and supply closets are well organized and provide a pleasant work environment.
Investigate any reported accidents or injuries at the property by other team members or guests and complete a detailed incident report including any recommendations for the property that may improve safety and working conditions.
Spend adequate time overseeing all common areas in and around the property to ensure high quality appearance at all times.
Give immediate response to all guest opportunities and correspondence
Delegate and monitor department check lists and projects for downtimes.
Must be capable and willing to clean guest rooms and public spaces on an as needed basis and perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Hotel Management Experience
Ability to work under pressure and effectively deal with guest and employee concerns and/or problems.
Uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional in accordance with policy.
Ability to communicate well with guests in a professional manner.
Must be willing to be a team player and be aware when others need you to pitch in and help.
Reliable and punctual and willing to work the hours necessary.
Comply with the company and hotel policies and procedures.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to reach with your arms, balance and bend, etc. frequently. And be able to use your hands easily.
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physically demanding tasks.
Must be able to hear and communicate on phone, radio and in person.
Have the ability to navigate tight spaces and log daily activity legibly.
