Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree of economics or related field preferred. Requires 2 to 4 years of Hotel related experience. Revenue Management preferred.

Position Description

Works closely with the Director of Revenue Management. Primary job function will be the management of the New Rainmaker Revenue tool, building and managing rates in SMS/Host system, and managing Resort inventory and rates on Extranets and Wholesale partners. Builds and loads rates, and assures we are maximizing revenue and occupancy. Produces revenue reports and suggests changes to rate strategies.

 

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility Compiles and analyzes detailed revenue information for an organization.

Monitors economic conditions and conducts revenue forecast analysis, suggests strategies to boost revenue.

Reviews organizational billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition.

Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management.

May provide support on special or large analysis projects.

 

Interactions

Internal Contacts: Direct contact with Snowbird employees and management daily.  Works closely with Operations Manager and Director.

External Contacts: Domestic and International wholesalers  support staff with Rainmaker, SpringerMiller Systems, and other possible distribution services.

 

Specific Requirements

Good working knowledge of both Springer Miller Systems and Rainmaker is preferred.

Must demonstrate maturity necessary to deal continuously with contacts.

Requires advance skills working with others, ability to operate a computer, 10-key calculator, and Rainmaker, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office software preferred.

Must meet deadlines effectively and on a timely manner.

Must be a self-motivator.

Must have good oral and written communication skills.

 

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Interactive Competencies:  Requires the ability to communicate clearly and precisely in a variety of significant situations. (Training, explanation of policies, etc.)  Requires advanced skills in working with others.  Applicant should have ability to interact with guests and staff  in a friendly and accommodating manner.    Interactions with tour wholesalers and travel agents.

Technical Competencies:  Use of Springer Miller Host Program, Rainmaker, and Basic knowledge of Delphi program. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Crystal Reports software applications.

Administrative Competencies: Requires exercise of judgement within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.  Has significant input into decisions made by others..  Seasonal turn-over and continually changing procedures and promotional rates creates the need for constant training and re-training of all staff.  Constantly changing information must be current and correct and communicated to all employees.

 

Work Schedule

40-50 hour week.

Weekends, holidays and evening work may be required.

Flexible shift hours available.

Working Conditions

May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, and deadlines.

General office environment with limited physical activity.

May be expected to attend various seminars at various locations.

Salary Range

$38,000-$45,000 yr DOE
